SLEEVE LUG OPENING MACHINE

The process starts with the feeding of the shells to the feeding units by means of the transport system and transferring them to the bench in a controlled manner. The bench ensures that the incoming shells are transferred to two sides, one right and one left, respectively. The lever mechanism, which is driven by the cams, allows the staggered feeding of the shells in this way. In this way, the capacity is multiplied by 2. Each station of the bench, which performs the operations is equipped with mechanical clamping forceps. In this way, the forceps allow the shell to be clamped and the operation in the station to be completed.

At the first station, the lug part of the shell is opened. The transfer of the shell between the stations is provided by the punches and arms that are activated by mechanical movements. All of these processes are driven by mechanical systems. The cartridge case, which is transferred, is fixed by inserting it into the forceps with the help of a punch. In the second station, the sleeve is also turned upside down and length cutting is performed. As a final operation, the bevel of the bucket is opened at the third station. The burrs formed in all processes are discharged with the help of the conveyor. The cartridge cases, whose processes are completed, are carried on the conveyor with the help of a pipe for evacuation.
